Taster Days for Schools

Our Taster Days help students to choose the right options for their future and give them the opportunity to get a feel for College life.
Whether your students are thinking of leaving school after Year 11 to enter Further Education or wish to be considered for our 14 - 16 provision, our Taster Days allow them to try up to two vocational areas with the help of our expert tutors and they'll get to have a real look around the College!

A typical Taster Day consists of the following:
 9.30  Arrive at the college
 9.45 - 10.45  Vocational Taster Session 1
 10.45 - 11.00  Break
 11.00 - 12.30  Vocational Taster Session 2
12.30 - 1.00  Tour of the College and advice available on how to apply and students’ career options.

Book a Taster Day for your school

Taster Days can be tailored to your requirements for an entire year group or just a small group of students. We do not have set dates for Taster Days, but arrange them at a time that suits your school. If you would like to chat about a customised Taster Day, email schools.liaison@wsc.ac.uk with 'Taster Days 2017-18' followed by the name of your school in the subject line.
