Join our Sports Academy and you'll be able to study a full-time course of your choice alongside professional football, rugby, netball or basketball coaching. You'll build your confidence, communication, team-working and leadership skills.
The Sports Academy training programme is very thorough but fun. There is a two-hour coaching session everyday that includes all technical aspects of the game and fitness. You'll be given an individual fitness programme that focuses on building your speed, agility and strength, in addition to advice on diet and nutrition, along with with comprehensive sports injury back-up. While not compulsory, we suggest that you take out your own private medical insurance policy.
Every student in the Sports Academy has the opportunity to gain various coaching qualifications. This includes the Level 1 Coaching Qualification which is a recognised qualification within the sports and leisure industry.
From our Sports Academy, you could go onto a career in a number of different directions. You'll have the opportunity to continue to Higher Education or employment as well as guidance on further playing opportunities and sports scholarships. Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope (currently on loan to Bury) refined his skills at our Sports Academy.
