Engineering is an essential part of the expanding world in which we live. From drilling the bottom of the sea bed, designing eco-friendly motor engines and developing new medical equipment, every part of our day to day lives involves some sort of engineering. At West Suffolk College, we offer a range of technical engineering subjects covering engineering manufacturing, electronics and mechatronics. All of our tutors have worked professionally as engineers and bring with them skills and expertise from a variety of engineering disciplines.

Apprenticeships

West Suffolk College's Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in Engineering are aimed at people aged 16 and over who demonstrate a wide range of engineering skills. The Engineering Apprenticeship is a Work Based Learning Programme that provides a structured development route to give learners the skills industry requires. The Apprenticeship framework consists of an NVQ Level 2, along with a Technical Certificate, Key Skills and Employers' Rights and Responsibilities.
