This exciting new course is designed to give students the essential skills and knowledge to enter the world of fashion promotion, receiving a nationally recognised qualification.
Throughout the course you will cover Fashion Promotion, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Photography and Imagery, Styling, Blogging, Marketing, Advertising, History of Fashion, Fashion Illustration, Photoshop, Business, Portfolio building, Print and Digital Design, Fashion Film and you will accumulate this into an independent Final Major Project at the end of each year, displayed in our School of Art and Design exhibition.
We have excellent industry connections and a lot of our projects are led through live project briefs.
We have recently seen amazing success with three of our students shortlisted (within ten finalists) for the Clothes Show Live’s ‘Young Fashion Photographer of the Year’ award, for the second year in a row.

4 C's and above at GCSE
If you do not achieve Maths or English at C or above, you will need to continue studying this alongside your course.
Places are offered for the course on an interview basis, you will be expected to present a portfolio of artwork or demonstrate engagement with the fashion industry.
UAL Diploma (Extended) in Art and Design (specialising in Fashion Media and Promotion)
Individuals wishing to pursue a career in the fashion, media or photography industries
The course is run as two separate years, with each year including two terms of projects before the term 3 Final Major Project and end of year exhibition.
We work to unit criteria that allows students to explore working in a variety of mediums, before choosing a specialism to pursue after the course.
It is a fun, exciting course that will allow students to focus on the creative fashion industry and the wide range of opportunities that it offers.
Students either progress onto university or seek work directly within the fashion industry. Completion of this course allows you to progress onto some of the most competitive fashion degrees. We have excellent links with UAL, including the most sought after fashion degree courses.
We provide support in developing your portfolio, preparing you for interviews and the UCAS application process.
We ask for a studio charge of £50 each year to cover material usage, alongside a £50 enrichment fee for trips.
We have resources available within the art department for students to use, however it is advisable for students to own a laptop and camera to enable them to work independently outside of sessions.
